Step 1: Find AppData Folder
Exit the among us from your PC and also delete the copy Zip file (if you have created it). Then open the Run menu on your PC by clicking the Windows + R key once. After that, type the command ‘AppData’ and hit enter to get access to the AppData folder on your PC.
Now, click on ‘localLow’ from the AppData folder opened by typing on the Run menu. Then, open the ‘Innersloth’ folder from the LocalLow folder. After that, open the ‘Innersloth’ folder from the LocalLow folder.
At last, open the "Among Us" folder from that main folder and choose the file name playerPrefs.
Step 2: Edit playerPrefs File
Now, open playerPrefs file with the help of Notepad to edit the name.
Step 3: Change Random Name
To edit the name you just have to replace the current username set by the among us.
For example, if my current username is ‘Clumploe’ and want to change it to "sgdum" then you have to replace the first name and input the new name.
After changing the random name, save the file.
